Dr Tim Dewhurst
Dr Dewhurst graduated in the 1970’s and trained as a rural doc, working around Victoria for 10 years and spent a year in Aboriginal Health in Tennant Creek. He then spent 5 years training in specialist psychiatry before spending nearly 20 years in Cairns where he completed a Master of Mental Health in Psychotherapy. In 2018, he spent 2 years as MD of the Victorian Doctors Health Program. Since Covid began, he has worked as a rural locum in Victoria as well as Telehealth support when home. He remains passionate about supporting doctors and working with mental health support in the community.
