Dr Lachlan Fieldhouse
Dr Lachlan Fieldhouse is a specialist General Practitioner who has worked in Australian and New Zealand contexts in remote, rural and urban settings. He has also had a career in Medical Education involving GP Supervision, RTO Director of Training responsibilities, RACGP National Clinical Lead (Transition/Innovation/Quality/Compliance), fellowship exam question writer, standard setter and remediation education expert. He has worked extensively in prison medicine and student health and has special interests in Mental Health, Men’s Health and complex comorbidity. He also spent a very interesting year in 2013 working for the Department of Immigration Detention Centre on Christmas Island as their area senior doctor. He understands the drivers of burnout, knows it’s effects and hopes to share some practical things to help others. He currently supports doctors in Tasmanian Better Medical practices as Director of Clinical Services two days per week.
