Good support is so important when it comes to overcoming burnout. Burnout counselling provides an opportunity to explore your unique challenges with a professional, and receive guidance, advice, and accountability.
Managing burnout isn’t a “quick-fix” scenario, and you will get the best results by having someone provide consistent support over a period of time. I don’t want you to just have one session and then life goes back to normal. I want you to make the changes you need for long-term improvements and recovery from burnout. I arrange 3-month packages for counselling so that we have time to worth together on identifying issues, building skills, and finding solutions.

Each appointment is 45 minutes, and initially we will explore your circumstances and challenges, and establish the goals we will work together to achieve over the 3 months. Follow-up appointments are approximately fortnightly, although we can be flexible according to your schedule and needs. In these sessions we will work towards the established goals by learning new skills, exploring options, planning action, and being accountable for commitments made.
Note that there are no rebates from Medicare or Private Health funds. You can check with your accountant whether you can claim it as a work-related tax deduction.
Appointments are conducted via telehealth, so you can access them from the convenience of your own home or another preferred location. These appointments will be generally be booked on Monday – Thursday evenings, weekends, or Friday daytime (other times may be available upon request – email info@theburnoutproject.com.au).
I understand the experience of burnout and the evidence-based strategies to manage it. I burned-out myself, I have supported countless people on their journey to overcoming burnout, researched and written ‘Burnout: your first ten steps’, and spend many hours keeping up to date with the research and strategies.
After you have purchased your Counselling Package, I will process the request and send you a confirmation email when your account is all setup, and you will be invited to set up your Halaxy* portal so that we can communicate confidentially. I will provide some timeslots available for you initial appointment.

Refunds of un-used sessions must be requested within 6 months of purchase of this package. After that time, refunds will not be provided.
*Halaxy is the software which manages all appointments and records.
